Our Lead Consultants

Mpume Makhubela is the founder and Director of Huvest People Solutions. She has 18 years corporate experience. Mpume has served in Senior and Executive roles in Human Resources in companies such as Alexander Forbes, Investment Solutions, Vodacom and Liberty Corporate. Mpume is a certified Remuneration practitioner, a member of the Institute of Directors SA and a Multiplex Coach. Mpume leads the Consulting, Coaching, Outsourcing and Business delopment functions of Huvest People solutions.

Thandie Balfour is Organisational Development specialist with a Masters Degree in Industrial Psychology. She has over 15 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources Management and Organisational Development, where she has served in various capacities such as; recruitment consultant, performance management specialist, training and development manager, talent management specialist and change management specialist for various organisations across industries and sectors. Thandie is a Leadership development programme, and soft skills content designer and facilitator as well as a team effectiveness interventions designer. She is passionate about integrating, facilitating learning and as such is well versed in the art of inspiring and affecting change in those she facilitates. She has an extensive knowledge base on emotional intelligence, psychology and communication.

Lester Jacobs is a solid Remuneration Specialist, he completed a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of the Western Cape in 1981 and a Secondary Teachers diploma in 1982. Following the merger of Nedbank and the Board of Executors, he moved to Nedbank Head Office in Johannesburg in 2007, taking on varied HR roles including Remuneration and Benefits Manager. He was appointed as Head of Compensation and Benefits at Absa Capital in December 2010, and then transferred to the Absa Head Office in October 2012. He is currently the Head of Remuneration and Benefits at Lonmin, one of the top 3 platinum producers in the world. Lester has an extensive experience in the design and implementation of Remuneration frameworks in complex and large organisations. He currently also sits in the Lonmin Remcom. He has completed the internationally recognised Global Remuneration Professional qualification, as well as the Certificate in Labour Law from UCT. Lester is an independant partner at Huvest, he is the Lead Technical Consultant on all Remuneration projects.
